Hosteria Bellavista is a hospitality hotel located in Playas de Villamil, Ecuador, operating in a coastal region known for hard water conditions. The property relies on a pumped water system to supply guest rooms, where consistent water flow and shower performance are essential to maintaining guest experience and operational standards.

The challenge

The hotel experienced persistent limescale build-up caused by calcium and magnesium carbonates in the incoming water supply.

Scale accumulated inside pipework and showerheads, requiring regular manual removal. If maintenance was delayed, showerheads would clog, affecting water pressure and guest comfort. The issue was ongoing and labour-intensive, increasing maintenance demands across the property.

The solution

In 2017, two Scaletron water conditioners (¾” and 1”) were installed into the pumped water supply serving the guest rooms.

The units were integrated into the existing pumping system without chemicals, salt, or electrical supply.
